Technical Services Engineer
Job Description
The Technical Services Engineer needs to be adaptable, a skilled communicator, adept at time management, organized with an expert attention to detail, as well as an experienced multitasker. They should be seasoned in troubleshooting complex technical issues.
Technical Services Engineer Responsibilities:
- Implement products in the cloud or on-premises and troubleshoot issues as they arise
- Provide technical support for our products and services as well as internal support requests
- Assist with the management of Active Directory for user management as an internal IT resource.
- Monitor and troubleshoot software related issues.
- Expert in the troubleshooting and management of DNS servers and systems
- Proactively identify and resolve potential issues before they become critical.
- Expert in the analysis of patterns and behaviors to get to root cause and resolution
- Expert in documentation of issue, next steps, and resolution
- Assist in the development of documentation concerning product behavior and expectations
- Detail oriented in the creation of ticket escalations, reproduction steps, and presentation of facts for analysis by developers
- Manage the provisioning, installation, and maintenance of our company's products
Technical Services Engineer Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in a Technical Service Engineer role, with a focus on troubleshooting, setting up, and managing SQL databases.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Deep knowledge of SQL database architecture, systems, management, troubleshooting, and maintenance
- Experience with cloud and on-premises product implementation.
- Expertise in network and software administration, including the management of servers, databases, and other software infrastructure
- Manage internal customer infrastructure and security, including the implementation of security best practices
- Keep up to date with the latest IT technologies and best practices
- Ability to configure websites and web services including HTML formatting and SSL creation.
- Configure and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls
- Collaborate with Engineering and Customer Support to identify and resolve ongoing problems with Prism products/infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of ERP database systems, AccountMate is a plus
- Flexibility to occasionally work nights and/or weekends when working with customer upgrades and installations; normally scheduled in advance
