How to Create Chain Accounts User in ServQuest

To create chain accounts, users must have SQ Admin permissions enabled for the "Maintenance > Chain Maintenance" section, which allows them to add or edit Chain Values.

To effectively add or edit a Chain Value, follow these steps:


1. Access Customer Maintenance:
2. Navigate to Customer Maintenance in the system.
3. Click the blue "Chain" link to open the Chain Maintenance form.
4. Search or Create a Chain Value:
5. Use the search function to find an existing Chain Value for editing.
6. To create a new Chain Value, type the desired value in the search field and search.
7. Add a New Chain Value:
8. Click the "Add" button.
9. Enter a description of the new chain value.
10. Save the Chain Value:
11. Click "Save and Close" to confirm and exit.
12. Assign the Chain Value:


Return to Customer Maintenance and assign the newly created Chain Value as needed.
