How to install MiniMate on new handhelds, reinstall MiniMate
This guide is created for IT people who have access to the server.
Before you begin, prepare the following information: Driver#, License# that is associated with the driver(this information is managed by your company), sync URL. If you have previous handheld -then simply take a screenshot of Minimate Settings that already has this info.
The APK is usually located on your server, there are several ways to put the APK into the handheld. You can also copy the APK to your computer and continue to next stages.
Ensure that the handheld device is equipped with SOS SPLASHTOP for future support provided by Prism. Please note that we do not utilize Team Viewer Quick Support, but exclusively work with Splashtop.

It has all the detailed step by step instructions that will help Prism Support representatives to connect in the future.
A. Use QR code that is provided to you by Prism's representative.
This QR code will initiate a download the relevant Minimate version on the handheld.
B. Install the APK on the handheld.
It might stop you during install and say to change security settings and allow “unknown
sources”. Please check the box and then continue with installation.
Once the installation is done, DO NOT OPEN THE MINIMATE just yet.
C. Allow all permissions for Minimate in handheld settings
Go to Handheld Settings -> Apps -> find Minimate -> Permissions -> allow all permissions.
Each permission has to be allowed.
Make sure all permissions are allowed. For Storage, make sure Allow management of all files is checked
D Initial setup of Minimate
Open Minimate, go to Minimate Settings and follow the instructions below:
- Fill in driver#
- Fill in license# of the driver
- Check 'Re-assign'
- Fill in the sync URL of your company
- Press 'Get URL'
- make sure sync URL also shows URL path
- Press APPLY
- Press SYNC
Once it's done the handheld is ready for your driver's work.
