ServQuest- Driver/Tech Maintenance

Create new drivers or modify existing drivers

1. Access the Driver/Tech maintenance form in ServQuest:

Maintenance ⇒ Set Up Routes/ Drivers ⇒ Driver/Tech/Pre Order Sales Maintenance

2. Type in the desired driver# and press on the magnifying glass

If the driver# exists, it will show it in the list. Choose the driver# you wanted and press OK to see the settings.

If the driver# does not exist, press ADD to add a new driver/tech

3. When the new driver is added, the tabs on the Driver/Tech/Pre Order Sales Maintenance screen become active

4. Fill in the fields accordingly:

Information Tab TIPS
Name Enter the name of the driver.
Address1 Enter the street address, PO Box number, etc. in the first Address field.
Address2 Optional- If the driver has additional address information, such as a floor or suite number, or a PO Box

number, enter it in the second Address field.

City

Optional- Enter the city associated with the driver’s address.

State Optional - Enter the state where the driver resides
Zip Optional- Enter the zip code associated with the driver’s address.
Phone# Optional- Enter the driver's telephone number.
Commission Optional- Enter the driver's commission rate, as a percent. 
Type

Click on the down arrow to the right of the Type field, and select the type of driver being set up.
Options are Driver/Tech (default), Sales Person and Checker. 
Status Select the status of the driver from the drop down list; options are Active (default) and Inactive.

TIPS

Depot Whs

Click on the magnifying glass  to locate the depot warehouse to associate with the driver. A new warehouse can be added to the Warehouse Maintenance screen by clicking on the Depot Whs link.

When drivers do not use their truck as a warehouse, and all drivers load from the same warehouse, both the Depot Whs and Truck Whs fields should have the value of MAIN.

Truck Whs

Click on the magnifying glass  to locate the depot warehouse to associate with the driver.

When drivers use their truck as the warehouse, the truck will be loaded from a specific location. In this case, the Truck Whs field should be populated with the warehouse number or name for the driver, or group of drivers.

Stage Whs

Click on the magnifying glass  to locate the depot warehouse to associate with the driver.

If the drivers load their truck from an intermediary location between the Depot Whs and their
Truck Whs, indicate the number or name of the Stage Whs

Inv # Prefix:

Indicate the start of the numbering scheme when invoices are created on the handheld device.

This is used on handhelds to protect duplicate invoices from being created for off-routes/ customers. 

Cust # Prefix:

Indicate the start of the numbering scheme when customers are added on the handheld device.
This is used on handhelds to protect duplicate customers from being created for off-routes/ customers. 

Export Delivery Tickets to HH

Check box indicating if generated delivery tickets will be included in the handheld Prepare process
Checked box indicates that generated delivery tickets will be included in the handheld Prepare process
Unchecked box indicates that generated delivery tickets will not be included in the handheld Prepare process (default) 

Export Service Tickets to HH

Check box indicating if generated sales tickets will be included in the handheld Prepare process
Checked box indicates that generated service tickets will be included in the handheld Prepare process
Unchecked box indicates that generated service tickets will be included in the handheld Prepare process (default)

Export IR Tickets to HH

Not in use

Export All Customers to HH

Check box indicating if all customers, or only customers associated with the driver, will be included in the handheld Prepare process
Checked box indicates indicates that all customers will be included in the Prepare process
Unchecked box indicates that only customers associated with the driver will be included in the Prepare process (default)


5. After these fields are filled, click SAVE to save the settings.
