ServQuest Price Groups
Group Pricing enables specific Item or Item Class pricing to be associated with a group of customers. Therefore, if an Item or Item Class’s price is changed, it only needs to be changed on the Group Price Maintenance form to affect the larger group of customers. The Group Price code is assigned on the Customer Maintenance form.
Price Groups can be set up to determine pricing by specific Item # or by Item Class.
Price Group Setup
To set up a Price Group code, navigate to the Group Item Pricing Maintenance form in ServQuest
Type in the desired new Group Code (can be alphanumeric)
Click the blue Group Code hyperlink to open the Price Group Name Maintenance form
Type new Group Code description and click Save
Click Enter on the new Group Code
Now you can begin setting up items and pricing for the new Price Group
Price Groups can be set up to determine pricing by specific Item #, or by Item Class.
By Item #
Navigate to the Item #(s) tab in the Group Item Pricing Maintenance form
Click twice into the next blank Item # row
Click the magnifying glass icon to open the list of Item #s to choose from
Select an item to add to the new Price Group, and click OK
Set a specific price for the Item by adjusting the price field
Other options:
- Cost Up % - Price will be the specified percentage above the Item Cost
- Cost Up $ - Price will be the specified dollar amount above the Item Cost
- List Down % - Price will be the specified percentage below the Item List Price (standard price from Inventory Maintenance)
- List Down $ - Price will be the specified dollar amount below the Item List Price (standard price from Inventory Maintenance)
- List Up % - Price will be the specified percentage above the Item List Price (standard price from Inventory Maintenance)
- List Up $ - Price will be the specified dollar amount below the Item List Price (standard price from Inventory Maintenance)
Add as many items as applicable to the Price Group, and click Save when done
By Item Class
Navigate to the Item Class(es) tab in the Group Item Pricing Maintenance form
Click twice into the next blank Item Class row
Click the magnifying glass icon to open the list of Item Classes to choose from
Select an Item Class to add to the new Price Group, and click OK
Set a specific price for that Item Class by adjusting the price field
Other options:
- Cost Up % - Price for that Item Class will be the specified percentage above the Item Cost
- Cost Up $ - Price for that Item Class will be the specified dollar amount above the Item Cost
- List Down % - Price for that Item Class will be the specified percentage below the Item List Price (standard price from Inventory Maintenance)
- List Down $ - Price for that Item Class will be the specified dollar amount below the Item List Price (standard price from Inventory Maintenance)
- List Up % - Price for that Item Class will be the specified percentage above the Item List Price (standard price from Inventory Maintenance)
- List Up $ - Price for that Item Class will be the specified dollar amount below the Item List Price (standard price from Inventory Maintenance)
Add as many Item Classes as applicable to the Price Group, and click Save when done
*Note: Individual Item Group Price will take precedent over Item Class Group Price
