How to change pricing of 'fixed price' items in schedules using utility and report
The workflow to update fixed item price on the schedule is as followed:
a. check the report -Schedule item fixed price review. Compare and make sure that indeed these items will be updated for these particular criteria.
b. Open the utility and run it with exactly same criteria as in the report. It will save you time and you won't need to compare again.
1. RUN THE REPORT
-In ServQuest go to REPORTS-> SERVQUEST REPORTS
- press PLUS on STOCK REPORTS Folder
- choose report called SCHEDULE_ITEM_FIXED_PRICE_REVIEW
When the report opens - It will show all the properties for you to review and compare the pricing of items in the schedule BEFORE actually changing the price. In this report, you can calculate, see and review the pricing of your customers by all these categories. You can choose all items, certain items, certain customer, change price with Dollat amount or percentages,etc.
To view the report- press VIEW REPORT
TIP: you can save and export the report to excel or PDF for your records before and after the changes made in the utility.
To save and export the report, press on the floppy disk icon above the report itself, choose which format to export to, and it will open a window for you to chose where to save the exported report.
Once the report is saved, you have the records for you to look and compare.
2.RUN THE UTILITY
in Servquest go to UTILITIES -> SCHEDULE -> UPDATING FIXED PRICES ON THE SCHEDULE
You must choose the same criteria as you chose in the report- this way, it will update EXACTLY like in reports, and you won't have any surprises if it updated something that you did not expect.
Choose the relevant criteria for you, select if you want to change the price by $ or by % and press UPDATE ITEM PRICE.
NOTE: It will change only those items that are checked as fixed price in the schedules.
If this field is unchecked - it will not change the price.
NOTE: INVENTORY smart grid - the price of items is NOT changing.
3. RUN PREPARE
Now that the pricing of the 'fixed price' items in the schedules are updated, you MUST do the following. Prepare for Minimate. Without prepare- the items in route and offroute tickets- will have old pricing.
When the tickets are prepared, you can go and start your work on Minimate. Full Sync etc.
